Educational Qualifications and experiences: BSc (Economics)(Hons), Masters in Policy Studies (Specialising in Gender Policy), ACCA Certified Diploma in Accounting and Finance

Ms Tarusenga is a highly skilled development expert with more than 30 years of experience in development co-operation working with donor agencies, government, Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) and private sector in East and Southern Africa, the UK and the Pacific.  Rumbi started her career as a Development Banker and subsequently moved into the development co-operation sector where she has held various positions including Senior Advisor to the Norwegian Government’s aid portfolio in the SADC as well as technical advisor on Women Empowerment and Gender Equality to the Ethiopian Ministry of Women and Children’s Affairs.  Rumbi’s expertise lies at the interface of impact investment, women empowerment and enterprise development.  In addition, Rumbi has in depth experience in financial management and was part of a team providing capacity building support to EU funded CSOs in Eswatini.    

Rumbi is currently team leader for the financial management component of Development Solutions’ assignment with Bread for the World as well as team leader for the Comic Relief assignment, Levelling the Filed 2.
