Chandirekera Sarah Mutubuki-Makuyana (Chandi), a Renewable Energy expert with 17 years experience in project management, renewable energy, climate finance, gender, and development banking. Chandi holds an MSc degree in Accounting and Finance (University of Birmingham, UK).
Her expertise in renewable energy covers mini grids, biogas, offgrid solar, productive use of energy, clean cooking and rural electrification. She is a gender and energy expert with special expertise in gender lens advisory services as well as a mentor for the GWNET; a board member for Impact Hub; an expert with UNFCCC Roster of Experts; and a chairperson for different energy technical committees. She has experience working in the following countries: Zimbabwe, Malawi, Mozambique, Zambia, Botswana; Eswatini, Kenya (with collaborations in various East and West African and Asian countries).
A fluent English and Shona speaker; French intermediately; and have basic knowledge of four other languages.
