Tracey Muradzikwa

Consultant- Gender and Evaluation

Tracey Muradzikwa is currently pursuing her doctoral degree at the University of the Witwatersrand. With a focus on gender issues, Tracey has extensive qualitative research experience, particularly with a focus of women and gender in Zimbabwe. Her professional journey includes significant roles at various institutions. At TechVillage she served as the Lead Researcher (Experiences of female traditional leaders in Zimbabwe: an intersectional analysis | Align Platform) for a project funded by ALiGN Platform (Advancing Learning and Innovation on Gender Norms) and worked as a Research Assistant in a project funded by Irish Aid through the Embassy of Ireland, Pretoria. She has taught Feminist theory and Politics at the University of the Witwatersrand.

Tracey has been awarded the SSRC (Social Science Research Council) Next Generation Social Sciences in Africa fellowship three times. These fellowships include the Doctoral Dissertation Proposal Fellowship, Doctoral Dissertation Research Fellowship, and the Doctoral Dissertation Completion Fellowship. Tracey has broadened her academic horizons through international engagements. She has been a visiting fellow at Ghent University (Belgium) and Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (Spain), indicating her commitment to advancing gender studies on a global scale.
