Doctors of the World Switzerland (Medecins du Monde MDM) was in the process of developing its new strategy, this was following the aftermath of Cyclone Idai. Consultations were conducted with various stakeholders, who shared information on potential needs related to health issues in the Chimanimani district. Based on these exchanges, MDM decided to develop an exploratory mission in this area (Chimanimani district) to assess the current needs and evaluate the possibility of developing a project to support current interventions in the country as part of its new strategy. MDS supported the implementation of this exploratory mission and the development of a strategy for the proposed intervention. A comprehensive assessment was conducted, engaging key stakeholders as well as prospective direct beneficiaries of the intervention in Chimanimani through field visits.
